Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Trenton invites all to make a difference one step at a time by participating in the Walk of Hope Oct. 5 in Veterans Park, 2206 Kuser Rd., Hamilton.

Catholic Charities has been a trusted resource since 1913, making sure no one in crisis has had to go it alone. In light of 100 years of this exceptional service, and to help raise both awareness and funds for those in need, the Walk of Hope is an opportunity for members of the community to support the mission of Catholic Charities while enjoying a walk with friends, family and neighbors.

The event will begin with check-in and t-shirt pickup from 9 to 10 a.m.

The walk will take place from 10 a.m.

to noon, followed by a family fun day including arts and crafts, face painting, photo booth and food from noon to 3 p.m.

Catholic Charities provides everything from housing and food to addiction treatment and domestic violence services to all in need regardless of religious background and assists more than 100,000 people each year in Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Registration deadline is Sept. 30.
