Brother Edward Martin, served in Lincroft academy

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 29 in the chapel of De La Salle Hall, Lincroft, for Christian Brother Edward Martin who died Sept. 27. He was 85.

Born in Washington, D.C., Brother Edward received the Holy Habit of the Christian Brothers Sept. 7, 1950. He graduated from The Catholic University of America, Washington; earned a master of arts degree in mathematics from Manhattan College and master of arts degree in chemistry from Kansas State College.

Brother Edward served assignments in schools in various areas of New York as well as Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, where he was director of the community. He had resided in Lincroft since 2007 and volunteered with De La Salle Hall.
