The Diocese of Trenton will begin its participation in Pope Francis’ “Share the Journey” campaign Sept. 27, when Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., meets with individuals connected with the immigrant community who will tell their stories in a listening session.

Some 20-30 parish and social service staff and volunteers, along with representatives of the immigrant community from across the Diocese will gather in Ocean County to share with the Bishop and diocesan leaders their experiences and insight into how best to welcome those who are arriving locally from other countries.

The Monitor will bring you a report of the Bishop’s listening session later this month on TrentonMonitor.com and in the Oct. 5 print edition.
