During their week away, the ordinands -- Rev. Messrs. Gregg Leo Loreno Abadilla, Christopher J. Colavito, Augusto “Al” Lorenzo Gamalo, Richard Osborn, John Michael Patilla and Daniel McKee Price -- heard insightful presentations from Bishop O'Connell, attended daily Mass during which each of the deacons had an opportunity to proclaim the Gospel and preach the homily and take time for quiet prayer and reflection. Also present for the retreat was Msgr. Thomas J. Mullelly, diocesan episcopal vicar for clergy and consecrated life.
