'Bible Timeline' series to be offered

St. Anselm Parish, Wayside, will host two sessions of  “A Quick Journey Through The Bible – An Eight-Part Introduction to the Bible Timeline.”

Daytime sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on the following Thursdays: March 20 and 27; April 10, 24, and May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. (no class April 3 and 17)

Evening sessions will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on the following Mondays: March 24; April 7, 14, 28; May 5, 12, 19, and June 2, 9, 16. (no class March 31,  April 21 and May 26)

All sessions will be held in the Learning Center located at 1028 Wayside Rd.

The series, to be presented in DVD format featuring noted Scripture scholar Jeff Cavins, is designed to give the participants a brief overview of salvation history from Genesis through the Resurrection of Christ. Participants will learn about the spiritual benefits of Bible Study. The topics covered in the study include: How to Read the Bible and Explanation of Materials;  Early World; The Patriarchs; Egypt & Exodus and Desert Wanderings; Conquest & Judges and Royal Kingdom; Divided Kingdom and Exile; Return from Exile and Maccabean Revolt; and Messianic Fulfillment and The Church. A facilitated discussion  session will follow each DVD viewing.

Cost to attend the series is $20 per person and includes a student workbook, color-coded bookmark, Bible Timeline chart and memory-bead wristband. Participants should bring their own Bibles.

Registration will take place after all weekend Masses March 1-2, 8-9 and 15-16. Registration forms are available in the front office foyer or on our parish website: http://www.stanselm.com.
