Bishop David M. O'Connell, C.M., visited St. Mary Parish, Colts Neck, Aug. 14 during which he celebrated a Mass for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven. Concelebrating the Mass with the Bishop was Father Jeffrey Lee, pastor of St. Mary Parish.

Following the Mass, an outdoor candlelight procession was held in which the Bishop blessed the parish's new St. Francis prayer garden and newly restored Marian grotto.

The work of renovating the Grotto and expanding the Prayer Garden was made possible through a generous charitable bequest made in loving memory of parishioner Catherine “Kitty” Pancetti who died in February, 2014. This charitable bequest was made possible through the efforts of her husband John A. Pancetti.
