Annual Tent Revival offers inspirational faith experience

Dynamic Catholic speakers, uplifting music, vendors, entertainment for children, plus music, food and family fun are the highlights planned for the 14th annual Catholic Tent Revival to be held on the grounds of St. Veronica Parish, Howell, June 27-29.

This year’s lineup of speakers include:

• Father John Riccardo, pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Plymouth, Mich., and director of the Department of Evangelization and Catechesis for the Archdiocese of Detroit. He is also the host of the radio show, “Christ is the Answer” on Ave Maria Radio and other Catholic networks. Father Riccardo holds degrees from the University of Michigan, Gregorian University in Rome and the Pope John Paul II Institute.

• Therese Cirner is an author, teacher and a clinical counselor with a master’s degree from Franciscan University at Steubenville and a dynamic Catholic speaker.

• Father Bill Halbing, pastor of St. Antoninus Parish, Newark. A dynamic speaker, he has appeared at many local, national and international conferences and seminars.

The Tent Revival will conclude June 29 with a Mass celebrated by Bishop John M. Smith.

An added highlight that Good News International Ministries has on tap for this year is the “Day with Ralph Martin” on June 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the gym of St. Veronica Parish.

Martin is the president of Renewal Ministries, an organization devoted to Catholic renewal and evangelization. Renewal Ministries is the sponsor of “The Choices We Face,” a widely viewed weekly Catholic television and radio program distributed throughout the world and engages in a wide variety of mission work in more than 27 countries.

Martin is also director of Graduate Theology Programs in Evangelization and an assistant professor of theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in the Archdiocese of Detroit. He has authored a number of books including The Fulfillment of All Desire: A Guidebook for the Journey to God Based on the Wisdom of the Saints.

There is a $30 registration fee for Martin’s presentation that includes light breakfast and lunch Each evening of the Tent Revival begins at 6:30 p.m. There is no admission fee and all are welcome to attend.
