Annual Memorial Mass and Scholarship Awards Breakfast to be held
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.
The Mercer County Federation of Holy Name Societies will hold its 59th annual Memorial Mass and Scholarship Awards Breakfast March 15 at 7:30 a.m. in St. Raphael Church, 3500 S. Broad Street, Hamilton Township. The scholarship awards breakfast, following the Mass, will be held in the parish center.
The event honors the late Msgr. Richard T. Crean, former pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton. He was the spiritual director of the Mercer County Federation of Holy Name Societies, from its inception in 1940 until his death in 1956. Since then, the men of the Federation have continued to sponsor the annual Mass in honor of Msgr. Crean’s pastoral work, followed by a buffet breakfast, with the proceeds aiding in the financing of scholarships, in his memory, to soon-to-be Catholic high school graduates who plan to continue to higher education.
All are welcome to attend both the Mass and the breakfast. Tickets for the breakfast are $10. For tickets or more information, call Daniel Costanzo at 609-587-9268.
