Annual Blessing of Nativity at State House set

Father Brian Woodrow, pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish, Allentown, and chaplain of St. John the Baptist Council, Knights of Columbus, Allentown, is expected to join members from Knights of Columbus councils for the annual Blessing of the Nativity Dec. 10 starting 10:30 a.m. at the New Jersey State House, 125 West State St., Trenton.

The event will begin with caroling and refreshments at 10:30 a.m. The blessing of the Nativity will follow at 11 a.m. with Father Woodrow presiding. Among those to give opening remarks will be Jerry Iacona, past grand knight and past faithful navigator of the Allentown council and the State council will be represented by the State advocate James Stover.  Father Woodrow will lead the opening and closing prayers. Music will be provided by the parish youth choirs from St. John the Baptist and Our Lady of the Angels, Trenton.

After the blessing, a luncheon will follow in St. David the King Parish hall, One New Village Road, West Windsor.  The cost of the luncheon is $15.
