Anniversary of papal election to be observed

Lawrence Council, Knights of Columbus, will observe the first anniversary of the election of Pope Francis with Evening Prayer and a presentation of the new documentary film, Francis: The Pope of the New World. The program will be held March 13 at 7 p.m. in St. Ann Church, 1253 Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville.
The documentary unveils the personality, passion and extraordinary faith of Pope Francis, who was elected the first pontiff from the Americas, the first Jesuit and the first to take the name Francis. Filmed on location in Buenos Aires and featuring interviews with close friends, collaborators and his biographers, this documentary traces the life of Jorge Mario Bergoglio.
