Alyssa Romano's essay

God created us each in our own unique way. We are fearfully and wonderfully made as in Psalm 139:14, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well.” God made us to be his “Wonderful works” or masterpieces.

Everyone should be treated equally because that is how God wants his masterpieces to be treated. “Do to others as you would have them do to you,” as in Luke. God created us all equal and in his image. Leaders are just as important to God as those who live in poverty. Social class doesn’t matter to God at all. If a rich man who is the king never prays, but someone who lives in poverty prays everyday without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 1:17), they will be rewarded.

God sees everything. He knows when we are hurting, or are too happy to contain ourselves. When we pray, we get a feeling of true happiness. All of the things that make us happy on earth (TV, computer, iPods, and other technology) are temporary, but Heaven is forever. God made us each special and with our own talents, and by praying, we are telling God how much He means to us.

Masterpiece: a person’s best work, as in art. We are all made in the image and likeness of God. God has a plan for everyone in the entire world. We are one of his best works. God is always there, but it is up to us to call on Him. Like most artists, God looks at His masterpieces and sees that we are good. We will never be perfect, but “Each of us is a masterpiece of God’s Creation.”
