ADVISORY ON ROE V. WADE ANNIVERSARY OBSERVANCES

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

Due to the snowstorm and dangerously cold temperatures that are impacting the Mid-Atlantic region, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., has urged all parish and school groups, as well as individuals who were planning to travel to Washington, D.C. for the March for Life Wednesday, Jan. 22, to assess travel conditions  and use their best judgment in proceeding.

Bishop O’Connell will celebrate a Mass for Life scheduled in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton, beginning at 9:30.  Father Doug Freer, vicar for Catholic education, will deliver the homily. All are welcome.

Please be advised that parking may be a challenge in the area surrounding the Cathedral.  The Diocese is attempting to alert the City of Trenton regarding the Perry Street Parking Lot to allow for bus parking.  An update will be posted if the availability of that lot is confirmed.

Despite the adverse weather conditions, our commitment to life remains strong and undiminished.

Following the Mass, congregants may wish to take part in the Rally for Life, scheduled on the steps of the Statehouse in Trenton (about a mile from the Cathedral), beginning at 11 a.m.
