A certification course for liturgy and music being offered

The Diocesan Office of Worship and the Ministry of Catechesis and Evangelization will co-sponsor “Noble Simplicity” In Our Rites, Art and Environment,” a certification course for liturgy and music Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church hall, 3816 East State Street Ext., Hamilton.
Presenters will be Msgr. Thomas Gervasio, diocesan vicar general, pastor of the parish and Mercy Sister Eleanor McCann, associate director of the Diocesan Office of Worship.
Significant time will be given to breaking open the liturgical documents as they pertain to our Sacraments and other Rites, environment, liturgical space, Church appointments and Sacristy. The agenda will include: prayer, lecture, table discussions, power point presentation and question and answer time.
The cost is $10 and includes morning refreshments and lunch. Registration due by Nov. 10.
