The following parishes and/or schools in the Diocese of Trenton have announced Veteran’s Day celebrations and/or Masses:

Donovan Catholic to host luncheon

Donovan Catholic High School, Toms River, will host a Veteran’s luncheon 1 p.m. Nov. 12 in the school dining hall 711 Hooper Avenue. All present and past military are welcome. Response required by Nov. 6 to Patti at 732-349-8801, ext. 2432. Leave your name, phone number, branch of service and number attending.

Belmar parish to hold special Mass

A Veteran’s Day Mass for US Armed Forces Veterans of all faiths and their families will be held in St. Rose Church, Belmar, 10 a.m. Nov. 11. Msgr. Edward Arnister, pastor of the parish, has extended an invitation to all neighboring parishes, military posts and lodges including the American Legion, The Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Catholic War Veterans.

The church is located at 603 Seventh Avenue. For information, call 732-681-0512.

Veterans to be honored during Mass in Maple Shade

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Maple Shade, will honor all Veterans during the 5 p.m. Mass Nov. 11 in the church at 236 East Main Street. During the Mass all Veterans will be remembered, thanked for serving our country and for making the ultimate sacrifice while defending our nation. All those Veterans in attendance will be invited to process in the Gathering Rite and will receive a blessing.

Following Mass a reception in Nolan Hall will be held with light refreshments and a light menu.

An attendance response is requested, by calling 856-667-8850 with the number of people attending the Mass and reception.

Veteran’s Day breakfast planned in Point Pleasant Beach

St. Peter Council, Knights of Columbus, Point Pleasant Beach, will hold a Veteran’s Day breakfast after the 7:30, 9 and 10:30 a.m. Masses Nov. 5 in the school cafeteria at 415 Atlantic Avenue. The cost is $7 per adult, $5 per child with a maximum of $20 per family. Veterans eat free as a token of appreciation for the sacrifices they made to protect our freedom.

All proceeds benefit the charities supported by the KOC. For information, contact Dominick Chirichella at [email protected] or 732-330-6926.
