2015 Walk of Hope scheduled for March 28

Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., will serve as honorary chair of the 2015 Catholic Charities’ Walk of Hope scheduled for March 28 in Mercer County Park, West Windsor.
“We are grateful for Bishop O’Connell’s support and excited to walk alongside so many of our friends at this community event,” said Marlene Lao-Collins, executive director of Catholic Charities, noting that the family members, friends and coworkers are encouraged to participate in the walk that has as its goal to reduce poverty, promote recovery and strengthen families throughout central New Jersey where Catholic Charities provides domestic violence services, counseling, help with basic needs and addiction treatment.
The course length is 3.2 miles (with optional one- and two-mile walks). Check-in and t-shirt pick-up is from 9 to 10 a.m. The Walk of Hope will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, rain or shine. Registration deadline is March 23.
