2015 Highlights: Year in Review
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.
For Catholics in the Diocese of Trenton, 2015 will long be remembered as the year of Pope Francis’ first apostolic visit to the United States. It started in Washington, where he met with the U.S. Bishops, including Bishop David M. O’Connell,
C.M., in St. Matthew Cathedral, and culminated in Mass on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia for the World Meeting of Families. But the year had so much more, from March’s Diocesan Youth Conference and conferral of Sacraments at the Easter Vigil, to high school graduations in June and the opening of the Holy Year of Mercy in December. The Monitor looks back at 2015 in our special section, and remembers the highlights and memories of a year that was all about love and mercy.
