Lenten catechetical retreat to feature Dr. Edward Sri

The diocesan Department of Catechesis will sponsor a Lenten formation retreat with Catholic author Dr. Edward Sri Feb. 21 and 22.
Taking place in St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold, the Feb. 21 session from 7 to 9 p.m. is titled “No Greater Love: Walking with Jesus and Mary in Lent.” Following on Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. will be “Into His Likeness: In the Dust of the Rabbi, No Greater Love, and Vibrant Faith in a Secular Age.”
Dr. Sri, a theologian and nationally-known has appeared in the Diocese previously, speaking in August 2016 for the diocesan Catechetical Day of Formation.
Appearing regularly on Eternal Word Television Network, and giving talks to tens of thousands of people around the world each year, Dr. Sri is the host of the acclaimed film series “Symbolon: The Catholic Faith Explained” and other faith formation film series. He is author of several best-selling books, including “No Greater Love: A Biblical Walk through Christ’s Passion,” “A Biblical Walk through the Mass,” “Walking with Mary,” and “Who Am I to Judge? – Responding to Relativism with Logic and Love.” His latest release is “Into His Likeness: Be Transformed as a Disciple.”
Dr. Sri is a founding leader with Curtis Martin of FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students), where he currently serves as vice president of formation. He leads pilgrimages to Rome and the Holy Land every year, and is host of the weekly podcast “All Things Catholic.” Holding a doctorate from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, Rome, he is an adjunct professor at the Augustine Institute, Co. He and wife, Elizabeth, live with their eight children in Littleton, Co.
