Faithful from across the Diocese gathered Aug. 4 in St. Michael Church, West End, for a diocesan day of prayer for an increase in vocations to the priesthood. Held on the Feast of St. John Vianney, patron saint of parish priests, the event was co-hosted by the diocesan Office of Vocations and St. Michael Parish. The day’s slate included several opportunities to pray the Rosary and adore the Blessed Sacrament, culminating in Mass celebrated by Father Christopher Colavito, diocesan director of vocations, with Father John Butler, pastor of St. Michael Parish, concelebrating. Seminarians as well as men discerning a vocation to the priesthood were also in attendance.
