A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 8 in St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Toms River, for Brenda LoGrippo Heffernan who died July 1. She was 84.
Mrs. Heffernan was the former director of religious education in St. Veronica Parish, Howell, where she served for 30 years before her retirement. In the parish she also coordinated the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults and other ministries with her husband, Dennis Heffernan.
Mrs. Heffernan was born and raised in New York City and lived in Howell before moving to Berkeley Township in 2018.
She was predeceased by her husband who died in 2023 as well as her parents and brother. She is survived by her four children Dennis (Corinne) of Huntington, N.Y., Christopher of Middleport, Pa., Debra of Jackson and Michael of Toms River, and six grandchildren.
Entombment was in St. Maximilian Kolbe Christ the King Mausoleum.
