Funeral services will be held June 1 in St. Joseph Church of Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish, Beverly, for Deacon Eduardo Trani who died May 23 in his Delran home. He was 88.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m.-11:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial following at noon. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Riverside.
Deacon Trani was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, and was the son of the late Juan and Belen (nee Velez) Trani. He was a longtime resident of Riverside, moving to Delran in 2008.
He worked as a machinist at Springside Metal Products in Riverside for 42 years. He was ordained a deacon by in May 1998 in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton, by Bishop John M. Smith. He ministered as a deacon in Christ the Redeemer Parish, Mount Holly, and St. Peter’s Church, Riverside, which is also part of Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish, until his retirement in 2013.
In addition to his parents, Deacon Trani was predeceased by his wife, Providencia (Santiago) Trani. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Eduardo Trani Jr., Ronald Trani (Kathy) and Diane Trani Robles (Peter); 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, a sister and many nieces and nephews.
