Mercer County Prosecutor reports arrest of guidance counselor for alleged crimes against NDHS student
Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville announced to its school community April 16, 2026 that a staff member is alleged to have engaged in sexual misconduct against one of its students. A release from the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office stated that an investigation has led to the April 15, 2026 arrest of Antoine A. Hart, 53, of Lawrenceville, who is charged with second degree endangering the welfare of a child and third degree aggravated criminal sexual contact.
The release states, “This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit Sgt. Sherika Salmon at 609-960-3119 or Det. Michael Wherley at 609-989-6187.”

The NDHS message from Jennings follows:
Notre Dame High School has been informed by law enforcement officials of their investigation into alleged sexual misconduct committed by a Notre Dame staff member against one of our students. The alleged incident occurred off campus and outside of school hours.
Notre Dame is in direct communication with local and county agencies involved in this investigation, and we have assured them of our full cooperation. The Notre Dame employee has been relieved of their duties.
The school will not be able to comment further on an active investigation. Notre Dame pledges to keep parents informed as information becomes available. Our primary concern continues to be the safety and well-being of all of our students, and we ask the members of our community to join us in praying for all those impacted by these troubling developments.
