Dr. Reginald J. Blaber, executive director of the Lourdes Cardiovascular Institute and vice president of Cardiac Services at Lourdes, was recently named to a two-year term on the New Jersey Cardiovascular Health Advisory Panel.
The committee is charged with providing guidance on issues of cardiovascular health promotion
and disease prevention, as well as the clinical study of treatment for cardiac diseases. Dr. Blaber was appointed by Acting State Health Commissioner Cathleen Bennett.
Board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Blaber joined Lourdes in 1998. He provides operational and strategic oversight of the health system’s
cardiovascular service line. He also serves as chairman of the Department of Medicine at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center and is a practicing cardiologist.
A resident of Haddonfield, Dr. Blaber earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., and his fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital. Dr. Blaber has been consecutively named a “Top Doc” by SJ magazine.
