Earlier this year, Anthony J. Mingarino, the Diocese’s Chancellor and Chief Administrative Officer, announced that he would be retiring June 30, bringing to an end nearly 14 years of leadership in the Chancery.
To take over the many duties Mingarino performed during his tenure, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., made three new appointments to the Diocesan Curia.
Effective July 1, Joseph Bianchi assumed the role of Chief Administrative Officer, Terry Ginther became the Chancellor, and Kevin Cimei took over as Chief Financial Officer. Mingarino will remain active in the Diocese as a counsel to the Bishop.
The Chancery staff celebrated Mingarino, as well as other departing leaders – including Daughter of Charity Sister Joanne Dress, former executive director of Catholic Social Services; Daryl Rowe, former financial director; Jill Kerekes, associate director of Catechesis; and Gregory King, former parish analyst for the Department of Development – during a barbecue luncheon June 29.
