St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting, was filled Sept. 12 as parishioners, friends and priests from around the Diocese joined to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the parish’s establishment.

Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., served as principal celebrant and homilist of the Mass. He was joined at the altar by Father Evarist Kabagambe, current pastor, and Father Pasquale Papalia, former pastor who is now retired.
Before the Mass began, the Bishop blessed an outdoor statue of the Blessed Mother. After Mass, the celebration continued with a dinner in the parish center.
