Celesta “Esther” DiLeonardo, the oldest living resident of Burlington County, died July 29 at age 108.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 12 in Sacred Heart Church, Riverton, where she was a longtime parishioner and an active member of the Catholic Daughters. Burial was in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson
Born in May 1918, Mrs. DiLeonardo retired from Home Lite following a 20-year career as an administrative clerk. A recent highlight she appreciated was receiving a blessing from Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., last year.
Mrs. DiLeonardo was predeceased by her parents, Luciano Simeone and Michelina Pellegrino; her husband, John DiLeonardo who died in 1981; her three children and three sisters.
She is survived by her five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
