Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., invites the faithful of the Diocese of Trenton to pray for our priests today, June 12, as the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests is observed each year on this solemnity, inviting Catholics around the world to pray for priests and their ongoing spiritual renewal. As we honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us pray for our priests, that they may be ever more conformed to the Heart of Christ, the Good Shepherd.
