Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., was principal celebrant of a Mass for the Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church, June 9 in St. Mary Church, Bordentown.
St. Mary Church, along with Holy Assumption Church, Roebling, comprise the parish of Mary, Mother of the Church.

Bishop was joined at the altar by several priests including Father Martin O’Reilly, parish pastor, and episcopal vicar of Burlington County, and Father Cesar Anson, longtime parochial vicar.
Before the Mass, the Bishop and Father O’Reilly presented papal blessings to four individuals including Father Anson, who celebrates his 48th anniversary of priesthood this year. Father Anson was ordained April 15, 1977 in his native Philippines.
Also receiving honors were parishioners Joseph Delfino, Evelyn Kostrub and Robert Moore Parker Jr. They were recognized for their longtime service to the parish and community.
