Villa Victoria Academy, Ewing, recently announced that Charles B. Machion has been named the chairman of the board of directors for the 2016-2017 school year. Machion is the senior vice president and senior council at Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) in Trevose. He holds a law degree from Temple University, Philadelphia, and he also obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Temple University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Chuck and his wife, Judith, reside in Newtown, Pa., and have three children. The family worships in St. Andrew Parish, Newtown. Noting that his oldest daughter Brittany graduated from Villa Victoria Academy in 2008, Machion stated, “Villa Victoria Academy did a great job of preparing our daughter to be successful. Brittany was accepted to the University of Chicago, along with many other excellent colleges. At the University of Chicago, she was able to handle the workload and do well thanks to the foundation laid at Villa Victoria. I am happy to serve Villa as chairperson as a token of thanksgiving for all that the school did for Brittany.”
Machion noted that this year under his chairmanship he intends to begin an alumnae speaker series which will be free and open to the general public. “Villa has turned out some amazing graduates. This speaker series will allow families in the area to come and hear about cutting edge careers and ask questions of Villa Victoria graduates working in the fields of math, science, art, fashion and much more.”
