One year ago, Pope Francis arrived in Philadelphia as part of his historic visit to the United States.
The Diocese of Trenton commemorated the Holy Father’s apostolic journey with a special issue of the Trenton Monitor in early October 2015 that was titled “Mission of Love and Mercy.”
The special issue included live coverage of the three major cities the Holy Father visited between Sept. 23 and 27 – Washington, New York City and Philadelphia — and told stories of how people of the Diocese took part in the extraordinary moment in the life of the Church.
