The Ocean/Monmouth County District Councils of St. Vincent de Paul have been awarded $20,000 for the Good Neighbor Grant by the OceanFirst Foundation of Toms River. The grant will provide financial assistance to those in need in the two counties.
“This a very generous grant from the OceanFirst Foundation [and] will assist quite significantly in helping us to help the needy in our communities,” said Charlotte Cicchetti, president of the St. Vincent de Paul conference in St. Barnabas Parish, Bayville. “We are proud to receive the Good Neighbor Grant for the fifth year in a row for a grand total of $100,000. The commitment of OceanFirst Bank to preserve and improve the quality of life for area residents is truly appreciated by those of us who offer help, and by those who are on the receiving end of our help.”
The OceanFirst Foundation, created in 1996, provides grants to organizations that meet community needs within the OceanFirst Bank footprint. Since its inception, the foundation has contributed in excess of 6,800 grants totaling more than $36 million to more than 900 local charities throughout Central and Southern New Jersey.
