The month of May is traditionally when faithful from throughout the world pay tribute to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God by joining in various May devotions. One of the most longtime devotions held is a May Crowning in which a crown made of flowers is placed on the head of a statue of the Blessed Mother.
