What does it mean to truly be a disciple of Christ? What are the characteristics of a disciple? Discipleship certainly is not easy, but with guidance and formation, we are all called to give our best attempt.
This Saturday, Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish’s gymnasium, the diocesan Department of Pastoral Planning invites you to an event offering some of that guidance and formation.
Our main presenter will be theologian and faith educator, Cruz Teresa Rosero, who visits us from the Diocese of Brooklyn, where she serves in their pastoral institute. Mrs. Rosero has a Master’s degree in both Theology and Education and regularly teaches courses in theology to Hispanic Catholic adults in her home diocese and across the country. Mrs. Rosero will explore the meaning of discipleship from diverse perspectives and will challenge participants to take what they learn and put it into practice.
The Spanish-language formational event is open to all those who wish to take a more active role in ministry in their parishes and communities. For more information, please contact Sandra López, coordinator for diocesan Hispanic ministry initiatives, at 609-403-7138 orslopez@dioceseoftrenton.org. Prior registration is required. The $10 donation for the event can be paid on Saturday and includes a light breakfast and lunch.
