The following organizations are in need of volunteer assistance:
The Senior Care Ministry of Princeton seeks volunteers to drive seniors to medical appointments.
Driving hours would range from Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Volunteers can set their own schedule – weekly, bi-weekly, monthly.
Now in its 32nd year of service to the wider Princeton community, the Senior Care Ministry, originally known as the Health Care Ministry of Princeton, was established in 1984 by Sister Mary Ancilla and the Princeton Council, Knights of Columbus, under the aegis of St. Paul Parish, Princeton. The goal of the ministry was to assist elderly who wished to remain in their own homes rather than moving to an institutional setting.
Drivers wishing to learn more about volunteering, should contact Beth or Mary by calling 609-921-8888 or emailing info@seniorcareministry.org.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New Jersey Metro Chapter will hold the Bike MS Coast to Coast May 20-21. Among the volunteer opportunities available is at the rest stop that will be set up at the Brielle Cyclery, 205 Union Ave., on May 20 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
