St. Thomas More Parish, Manalapan, will host “Bible Bingo,” a comedy with God and games Oct. 15 in Manalapan High School auditorium, 20 Church Lane. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m.
The live show – from Vicki Quade, the creator of “Late Night Catechism” – is on tour from Chicago’s Royal Theatre. The comedy is about fundraising and bingo, following a storyline in which a parish needs money and the Archdiocese has a new bingo fundraising department. Combining the two promises a night full of Bible trivia, audience interaction, and the funniest quiz about the Holy Family ever heard – a lot of Catholic humor for a night of entertainment.
Refreshments will be sold during intermission. All proceeds will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Thomas More Parish.
Ralph Piccarelli, a parish St. Vincent de Paul conference board member, said the play is a great way to build community and benefit the less fortunate.
“Events like this get us exposure to a wider range of people,” he said. “It lets people know that St. Vincent de Paul is not just there to help Catholics, but for all denominations in the community who fall on hard times.”
Tickets are $30 each. To purchase tickets, call 732-972-4181 or email svdpmanalapan@gmail.com.
