The Monitor celebrates Ordination and Graduation

June 17, 2025 at 2:07 p.m.

In what may be the most good news we can possibly fit into one magazine issue, the latest Monitor Magazine brings you coverage of major events in the Diocese of Trenton that are cause for great celebration.

As seen on the COVER, we welcome and congratulate the Diocese’s newest priest – Father Alan Bridges – and have dedicated special coverage of his Ordination, his first Mass and the many good wishes expressed by family, friends and well-wishers.

That is followed by GRADUATION 2025 – a 38-page special section on the more than 1,000 young men and women graduating from Catholic high schools in the Diocese. Be sure to look for the message of spiritual guidance and inspiration from Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., which has relevance for graduates everywhere. Also, don’t miss the photo collection depicting the happy faces of some of the 800 eighth graders who are graduating from Catholic elementary schools and preparing for their next chapters.

Other key topics you won’t want to miss:

  • Bishop O’Connell’s essay on June’s dedication to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
  • Global and local commemoration of the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea and its implications for future unity of the Church
  • SPECIAL REPORT on Church’s role in helping those with mental illness
  • Local bishops and USCCB speak out on immigration action, protests and funding for poor

And check out LOCAL REPORTING on the 150th anniversary of St. Rose of Lima School, Freehold; Secular Franciscan fraternity marks 25 years of service; Father Rich Osborn installed as pastor of St. Catherine Laboure Parish, Middletown; Young Catholic profiles and coverage of Burlington County’s Theology on Tap for young adults; and much more.

Coming later this month -- LIVES OF FAITH -- Our annual KEEPSAKE EDITION celebrating the priests, deacons and religious sisters and brothers who are marking a notable anniversary this year.
