Joseph O’Reilly, brother of Father O’Reilly, Bordentown pastor, dies in Ireland

Funeral services were held in Ireland for Joseph (Joey) O’Reilly, the brother of Father Martin O’Reilly, pastor of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, Bordentown, and episcopal vicar of Burlington County.

Mr. O’Reilly, who resided in Stonebridge, Monaghan, was surrounded by his family when he died Aug. 20 in Cavan General Hospital. His Mass was celebrated Aug. 24 in St. Mary Church, Magherarny, Smithborough. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.

In addition to his priest-brother, Mr. O’Reilly was survived by is wife, Frances; a daughter, Amanda and her husband, Martin McNelis; a son, Stephen; two sisters Mary Fitzpatrick and Rosie O’Reilly; two other brothers, Peter and Felix, and five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
