Today is the first day of the U.S. Catholic bishops' annual fall meeting.
They are gathering Nov. 16-17 using a virtual format because of the coronavirus pandemic. Today's sessions begin at 2:30 p.m. EST and the agenda includes an address by Archbishop Christophe Pierre, papal nuncio; Los Angeles Archbishop José H. Gomez's first address as president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops; and a discussion of the Vatican report on Theodore E. McCarrick.
