St. Francis Medical Center earns ‘Get With The Guidelines Quality Achievement’ Awards


St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, recently earned the “Get With The Guidelines® — Stroke Gold Plus Award” for the fourth consecutive year. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that every stroke patient receives treatment according to nationally accepted recommendations and standards.

As part of the Stroke designation, St. Francis was also recognized with the Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll. In addition, the hospital earned a Get With The Guidelines® Resuscitation Silver Award for implementing quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer cardiac arrests in the hospital.

"Earning these quality awards, particularly during all the challenges brought on by the pandemic, demonstrates St. Francis’ long-term commitment to providing the best possible care,” said Daniel P. Moen, president and chief executive officer. “Our physicians and staff strive for excellence, and we are proud to work with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to ensure high-quality cardiovascular care for our patients.”

Get With The Guidelines® is the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s hospital-based quality improvement program that provides hospitals with the latest research-based guidelines.
