Walk of Hope raises $10K for Catholic Charities

Braving the weather for 3.1 miles through Mercer County Park, participants in Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton’s 5th annual Walk of Hope donned rain gear May 19 and banded together to raise funds for the institution’s various programs – and walked away more than $10,000 stronger.

The five-figure donation generated by the walk will help CCDOT continue its mission of reducing poverty, promoting recovery and strengthening families.

The agency provides trauma-informed professional and compassionate services in Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean Counties to more than 100,000 people annually, regardless of religious background. Catholic Charities offers help with food, clothing and shelter, mental health and addiction, counseling for children and families and domestic violence services.
