Tinton Falls parish to offer five-week series: 'A Biblical Walk Through the Mass'

St. Anselm Parish, Tinton Falls, will hold a five-week “Biblical Walk Through The Mass” beginning in May.

Two sessions will be made available on May 6, 13, 20, June 3 and 17 on Mondays from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.

During the sessions that will use the book published by renowned Scripture scholar Dr. Edward Sri, participants will: learn the biblical background to the words, prayers and gestures of the liturgy, all in the context of the revised Mass translation; discover how the Mass is a true re-presentation of Christ’s redeeming sacrifice on the Cross; explore the three key aspects of the Mass as a sacrifice, real presence and Holy Communion; and gain helpful insights for getting the most out of every Mass.
