Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, is gearing up for its 23rd annual Taste of Burlington County fundraiser, which will include delectable ranging from German and Mexican cuisine to chicken wings and pub food.

The event will be held Oct. 11 at The Merion in Cinnaminson.

The Taste of Burlington County is the only major fundraising event to support the Providence House in Delran, which provides free, confidential services such as a 24/7 hotline, safe house, counseling for adults and children, education and legal advocacy.

Last year’s event, which was attended by nearly 450 guests and raised more than $50,000, featured samplings from more than 20 local restaurants, a gift auction and raffle drawings.

This year’s participating restaurants include Holiday Ice Cream and Café, Beverly; Chickie’s & Pete’s, Bordentown; Due Amici, Georgetti’s Market and Catering, and Whistler’s Inn, all of Cinnaminson; Dooney’s Irish Pub and Throwbacks Bar and Grill, both of Delran; b.good, Marlton; Don Pablo’s and Buffalo Wild Wings, both of Moorestown; Bob Evans Restaurant and Victoria’s Bagel Bistro, both of Mount Laurel; Cathy’s Catering, Palmyra; The Best of the Wurst, Riverside; The Breakfast Nook, Riverton, and Recovery Sports Grill, Westampton, among others.
