St. Francis Counseling Service introduces new social skills group

St. Francis Counseling Services, Brant Beach, has introduced a free social skills group for children ages 10 to 13.

The six-week group will start Feb. 25 and run through April 1. Sessions will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. in St. Francis Community Center located at 4700 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach Township.

The social skills group will build self-esteem through talking, laughing and sharing. Topics include: positive self-image, conversational skills, conflict resolution, response to bullying, expressing feelings and understanding others’ emotions.

There is no fee to attend but registration is requested. To register or for more information, call 609-494-1544. Ask for Elena or Kristen.
