A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 23 in McAuley Hall Health Care Center, Watchung, for Mercy Sister Mary Yvonne Osborne, who died March 20. She was 95.

Born in Passaic, Sister Mary Yvonne graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School, where she was taught by the Sisters of Mercy. In 1942, she entered the Sisters of Mercy at Mount St. Mary, Watchung. She graduated from Georgian Court College (now University), Lakewood, with a degree in elementary education. She also earned a master’s degree in reading from Seton Hall University, South Orange. She taught in schools in the Trenton and Metuchen Dioceses, the Newark Archdiocese and in Florida. In the Trenton Diocese, she taught in St. Paul School, Princeton

Sister Mary Yvonne is survived by several nieces and nephews and members of the Sisters of Mercy.

Burial was in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of Mercy, Mount St. Mary, 1645 US Highway 22, Watchung, N.J. 07069.
