Seminar for 'Ministering to Families in Difficult Situations' scheduled

The diocesan Department of Youth, Marriage and Family Life will sponsor a seminar on “Ministering to Families in Difficult Situations” April 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pastoral Center, 701 Lawrenceville Rd., Trenton.

The seminar will provide those who work or volunteer with families new tools for their ministry.  Ways to help families to cope with unexpected or challenging situations, including loss, bereavement and disabilities, as well as single parenting and stepfamilies will be explored.

Presenters will be Linda Richardson, director, diocesan Department of Youth, Marriage and Family Life; John Kalinowski, director, diocesan Department of Pastoral Care, and Janis Bell, diocesan advocate for persons with disabilities.

Continental breakfast will be provided, bring a bag lunch.  The cost is $10 and registration is required.  Attendance to this seminar may be applied to the diocesan Certificate in Family Ministry.  To register, contact Linda Richardson at 609-403-7155.
