Register for Catholic Charities' Walk of Hope by April 1

All are invited to walk with a purpose April 9 for the Catholic Charities’ Walk of Hope in Mercer County Park, West Windsor. The goal of the event is to raise funds and awareness to reduce poverty, promote recovery and strengthen families. Deadline to register is April 1.

The course length is 3.2 miles with optional 1- and 2-mile walks.

Cost is $25 for adults. Children 17 and younger can participate free of charge. Check-in and T-shirt pick-up is at the park’s west entrance at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m., rain or shine. Walkers are encouraged to bring canned goods to help stock the agency’s food pantry.

Each year, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, provides services to more than 100,000 people, restoring hope to one in every 19 residents of central New Jersey. In 2015, nearly 300 walkers helped raise more than $17,000 in support of the agency’s programs.
