Reaching Out from Ohio to New Jersey

For two days during their Easter break, students from Lake Catholic High School, Mentor, Ohio, participated in a New Jersey Immersion Trip where they participated in service projects in agencies around the Trenton Diocese. Here, the students and school staff member Marty Gibbons are greeted by Tom Mladenetz, executive director of the Mercer County Catholic Youth Organization where the students spent time at the CYO’s Yardville facility helping to prepare the grounds for the upcoming camp season. Another Lake Catholic staff member, Jillian Zaczyk, accompanied another group of students to sites which included the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and Visitation Home, Yardville, which is a Catholic residential facility for adults with disabilities The Lake Catholic visit was organized by the Center for FaithJustice, Lawrenceville.
