Praying for Life on Good Friday

Pro-lifers from several Monmouth County parishes commemorated Good Friday March 30 by participating in a “Pro-Life Stations of the Cross.” The event, sponsored by the Respect Life Committee in St. Gabriel Parish, was held at the “Baby Unborn” Gravesite located on the grounds. Deacon Richard Roenbeck led the gathering of more than 40 in the commemoration of the Lord’s Passion and Death through the praying of the Stations of the Cross. In addition to St. Gabriel Parish, parishes that were represented included St. Thomas More, Manalapan; St. Mary, Colts Neck; St. Anselm, Wayside; St. Leo the Great, Lincroft; St. James, Red Bank; St. Benedict, Holmdel; and St. Thomas the Apostle, Old Bridge, in the Metuchen Diocese. The participants are involved in a range of ministries in their respective parishes and communities including respect life committees, Knights of Columbus, liturgical, catechetical and social concerns.
