Prayers, best wishes for new deacons, soon-to-be-priests among social highlights

It is a joyful time in the Diocese of Trenton, both on and off social media.
Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., ordained four men as transitional deacons May 21 in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton, and the well wishes for the men, who are expected to be ordained priests next spring, were abundant.
They included the following on the Diocese’s and Monitor’s posts that announced the transitional deacon ordination, profiled the new deacons and shared the live stream of the ordination Mass:
• Eileen Carraher Kane: Congratulations to all.
• Nancy Colavito: Thank you Jesus!
• Adriane Gullotta-Gsell: God bless you all!
• Patrick Kabaso: Congrats to all
• Colleen Catalano: Thank you all, God Bless.
• Denis K Adrawa: We love you all, from Uganda.
Many faithful of the Diocese and beyond also commented on posts regarding the six men set to be ordained to the priesthood by Bishop O’Connell June 4.
“Pray for them, that they will pray and serve us,” wrote Father Jim Grogan, parochial vicar in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Moorestown, who was ordained last year. “Thanking God for these soon-to-be brother priests.”
“May God continue to bless them all and Our Lady protect her new sons,” wrote Mary Anne Huegel.
“God bless you all and for serving God’s call,” said Jeanine McMillen Feaman.
“Many are called but few are chosen,” wrote Louis Russo, who shared that his home town, Tacloban City, Philippines, is the same as that of then-Deacon, now Father Augusto “Al” Lorenzo Gamalo. “I am very proud of you, (Father) Lorenzo Gamalo. And from across the San Juanico Bridge, congratulations (Father) John Michael Patilla. And to all of you. You are not only called, you are chosen.”
