Outstanding Achievement

Students from St. Jerome School, West Long Branch, took third place out of 23 public and private schools competing in the Pre-High School Academic Tournament hosted by Marine Academy of Science and Technology, Sandy Hook. In addition to their group achievement, two St. Jerome students – G. Michael Monteleone and Alexander Alfier – ranked in the top 10 individual overall standings. Each student competed in eight rounds, covering such subject areas as history, science, vocabulary, language and literature, math, geography and New Jersey.
