ND freshmen teams win CYO Christmas tournament titles


The Notre Dame High School girls’ and boys’ freshmen basketball teams won their respective championship games Dec. 29 during the CYO Christmas Tournament.  The ND girls defeated Hunterdon Central, 26-22, and were led by All-Tournament team selections Cassidy Mahle, Emma Saker and tournament MVP Peyton Morgan. The boys defeated Ewing, 64-47, and were led by All-Tournament team selections Nick Feredic, Steven Graver, Quentin Autry and tournament MVP Jason Weber. The girls team is coached by Dawn Pintinalli (also a CYO coach for the girls’ varsity and JV teams of St. Gregory the Great Parish, Hamilton Square) and the boys are coached by Dave Larkin (who also coaches the boys’ varsity team from Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Hamilton).  Other participating teams included Trenton, Rancocas Valley, Robbinsville and Lawrence.
